The idea of designing this apparel line came about during the COVID 19 pandemic. Health safety protocols that were put in place during that time caused me to be temporarily displaced from my employment. I used those 3 months sitting at home to reflect on my life and think about what I could do to make my life more meaningful and fulfilling. Being a t-shirt lover and someone who is very outgoing and likes to knock about, I decided to blend those two aspects and Knockabout Apparel was born. Knockabout is a slang term used in my native country of Trinidad and Tobago to describe someone who is outgoing or the act of being out and about. Knockabout apparel is casual wear (we call it ‘casual chic’) that can be worn when going to the pub/bar, family gatherings, sporting events or anytime you want to look stylish yet casual.

Our goal was to give people a shirt that would catch the attention of others, hopefully creating an opportunity to get to know someone else. For those who struggle to be outgoing, this can be a way to break the ice. For those who are already outgoing, let the world know about your true character. So, if you are someone who likes to knock about, this is the brand you’ve been waiting for.
